Thinking of You Week 2020 set to be the biggest yet!

Sep 18, 2020 | Thinking Of You Week

Thinking of You Week starts on the 21st September; who are you thinking of? Sending and receiving has been an important way of keeping in touch for so many during the isolation of lockdown. Greeting cards are an opportunity to bridge the physical distance between us and our loved ones at this challenging time.

2020 is set to be the biggest Thinking of You Week yet – independent retailers across the UK, plus major multiple retailers such as Paperchase, Cardzone, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Card Factory and Clintons have all pledged their support for this year’s Thinking of You Week (September 21-27) through various initiatives instore and on social media.

Lockdown has seen a huge increase in people sending cards just to keep in touch, say ‘miss you’ ‘sending a hug’ or similar, promoted a lots of consumer engagement in stores and online. “The level of engagement for Thinking of You Week is unprecedented, such is the poignancy of sending greeting cards to show you care and appreciate having people in our lives in these challenging times,” commented Amanda Fergusson, ceo of the GCA.

Receiving a greeting card makes people feel good, a fact confirmed by neuroscientist Dr Lynda Shaw! We are all on social media all the time, but receiving a card through the post from a loved one, or work colleague, just to say ‘miss you’, ‘remember when..’ ‘thinking of you’ means more and creates a powerful connection

So go and buy your cards if you haven’t already and get sending! And let us know about your activities so that we can share in our Thinking of You Week News
