The GCA's Register of Range Names now has over 1300 entries and is growing by the day. The Register is the only comprehensive database of greeting card range names in existence. There is no charge for GCA members to access the Register or to enter new range names. Although the Register is unofficial and has no legal standing, it has become the first port of call for publishers needing to check if their proposed new range names are already in use.

The GCA advises that proposed range names are also checked against the register of trademarks at the patents office at www.patent.gov.uk under category 16 Paper Products.
