GCA Licensing Seminar - 22 June 2011

The licensing of image rights has become an integral part of greeting card industry – a way for publishers to gain additional revenue streams by extending their brands into other product areas or to bring in new brands or artwork for their ranges.

This practical seminar will cover the nuts and bolts of image and brand licensing, the legalities, what do if it all goes wrong and the issues from two publisher’s perspectives. Our speakers will be Sarah Britton, publishing manager of Woodmansterne and Clare Levi, director of Takkoda, and on the legal side Margaret Briffa and Megan O’Callaghan of the GCA’s IP legal advisors, Briffa.

There will also be plenty of time for questions, as the afternoon will be rounded of with a Q&A panel discussion with all the speakers.

The seminar is being held at the Business Design Centre (home of PG Live) on the afternoon of 22 June 2011 and the two-hour session will cost just £25+VAT for GCA members.
