GCA Launches Thinking of You Week 2018!

May 9, 2018 | Thinking Of You Week

The latest Thinking of You Week 2018 branding and toolkit are now live!

“Huge thanks go to Miki Rose of the Great British Card Company for designing the new ToYW branding and toolkit and also to Raj Arora at Davora who has built the website for us,” said Sharon Little, ceo of the GCA, “the build-up to this year’s event has started!”

The website’s free toolkit contains lots of beautiful assets including the gorgeous banner, consumer handouts, an event poster, an email sign off and social media banner headers.

“This is now the fifth Thinking of You Week – every year we refresh the branding to keep it looking interesting and relevant. The new branding will have its first official outing on the GCA’s stand at PG Live 5th – 6th June.”

The idea behind Thinking of You Week is to create a wave of happiness and caring through sending greeting cards. “All the research shows the positive emotional impact receiving a card can have on a person,” said Sharon. “It is so much more powerful than any form of digital message.”

Retailers are encouraged to download the branded Thinking of You Week PoS material, posters and fliers from Thinkingofyouweek.cards and use them in-store in displays and promotions.

“Feedback from retailers is that as a result of this great campaign, they have seen Thinking of You growing as a year-round caption, what a great result! It’s a brilliant way for retailers to engage with customers new and old, and provides a great opportunity to involved in the community, perhaps by running a school competition, working with a local charity or a  hospital,” said Sharon. “There’s so much scope here to raise the profile of sending cards.”

Thinking of You Week takes place this year over 24 – 30 September.

·         The US Greeting Card Association will launch the American version of Thinking of You Week, together with the US-branding at the 2018 National Stationery Show, which takes place at New York’s Javits Center May 20-23. “It is fantastic to see that this initiative is being picked up by the American Greeting Card Association as well,” says Sharon. “The message behind Thinking of You Week is one that works across the globe.”
