GCA Agent’s Seminar Sees Record Attendance

A record 100 hundred members gathered at GCA’s Agent’s Seminar recently at the Business Design Centre to see a line up of top speakers from across the industry. “This proves what a crucial topic the subject of agents still is in this industry, said Sharon Little GCA CEO, “It was great gathering and we have received so much positive feed back from those who attended.”

With the theme for the day being ‘The Relationship Game’ the day kicked off with Amanda Fergusson sharing the secrets of finding and keeping a good sales agent. Beth Robson, the London agent, revealed what makes agents tick and showed how to work best with agents, and Ged Mace, of the Art File showed how to avoid pitfalls and make relationships between publishers and agents a winning partnership.

Richard Bailey of Steeles the GCA’s legal specialist gave the legal background and showed how important it is to have written contracts with agents. The seminar ended with a question and answer session with the panel of speakers.
