At first you will be selling the cards yourself. First do the round of the shops which reacted well to your mock-ups. You will also have to 'cold sell'. Have an invoice pad at the ready, walk into a shop, speak to the managers, show them your range and have your stock with you so that they get their orders there and then!

It is inevitable that you will find some designs don't work - discontinue these as soon as possible. If you have sold a customer some designs that don't work, offer to exchange them for ones that do. This is called 'sale or exchange'. Some retailers will try to push for sale or return, which is when they can return any unsold goods without paying for them. If possible, do not agree to this.
