The Prints and Drawings Study Room holds a collection of thousands of cards, from the 19th and 20th centuries, many of which are mechanical or three dimensional. The collection is accessible on a 'turn up and see' basis between 10am - 4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays.

The Harris Museum, Preston: 01772 905 406
This museum houses a collection of over 5,000 cards from the 19th and 20th centuries, including a Valentine's card dating from 1800. Many of the cards are fine examples of three dimensional paper engineering (pop up and mechanical cards). The cards are not on permanent public display, but can be viewed by appointment.
